I work with a lot of families, and each experience is new and special because every family dynamic is different. The one constant I’ve found, though, is that their faces say so much. Working this past week with this beautiful family (kids, parents, uncle, grandparents), their faces clearly said, “I love you.” Watching the way uncle beamed while he was holding his niece and nephew in his arms, or the way grandma and grandpa held nothing back while playing with their grandkids, hooting and hollering and even getting a little dirty, or the way mom and dad melted at the sight of their children enjoying themselves so thoroughly; all of it made my job so enjoyable. But most of all, it was the faces of those two children who knew how deeply they were loved that stays with me. I hope they forever remember the night they spent splashing with their parents and pouring sand all over grandpa and just being kids on the beach, surrounded by the ones they love and the ones who love them.
